This Brainspotting Phase 1 training is held in conjunction with the Dallas Fort Worth Behavioral Health Symposium, taking place at the same DFW Sheraton March 30 – April 2, 2022. Those registered for this Brainspotting Phase 1 will be able to attend the Symposium at NO ADDITIONAL COST. I am extremely honored and pleased to be participating in the Symposium as a Keynote Speaker, and facilitating this Phase 1 training.
Seminar Overview
Brainspotting (BSP) is a powerful, brain-based, treatment modality that accesses the subcortical brain where unresolved traumatic experiences are stored. Identifying the physical and emotional correlates of the client’s problems helps ground the client while simultaneously stimulating a powerful therapeutic associative process. This leads to the processing and release of the core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation, performance anxiety and an array of other challenging symptoms.
This 3-Day Phase 1 BSP training utilizes an open, integrative model, which includes Dual Attunement Frame, Inside Window BSP, Outside Window BSP, and Gazespotting.
Seminar Objectives
Through lecture, live demonstration and practicums, participants will learn to do the following:
- Define the components of Brainspotting
- Utilize the techniques of “Inside window”, “Outside window” and “Gazespotting”
- Define how Brainspotting can be applied to Trauma, Dissociation, Sports psychology, Somatic conditions
- Demonstrate the theories and practices of Brainspotting
Trainings are open to all counselors, psychologists, social workers and others in the healing professions with strong clinical backgrounds, as well as students/interns in the mental health field who seek to expand their knowledge.
